Photography Contest Guidelines

2020 Entry Forms will posted here.

This photography contest is open to all. Entries will be showcased at the Harbor House of Blue Hill and online on this website. Awards will be given to the top 3 entries.

  • Photos should relate to Blue Hill Bay (seascapes, working waterfront and fishing, sea life, seaside fun, environmental conditions, boatyards, psychological feels from and about the sea, an evocative sense of the maritime heritage of the area)

  • Limit one submission per person

  • Color or black and white

  • Deadline for submissions is Friday, August 2, 2019 Wednesday August 7, 2019

  • Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges

  • Winners will be announced during the Festival

  • Entries must be original and taken by you free of any copyright restrictions

  • You give permission for the BHMHF to publish and display your photograph

  • We will need both
    (1) a framed print copy (and ready for hanging) as well as
    (2) an electronic copy that will be displayed online at on our website: BHMHF.org

  • Only the printed copy will be judged, the electronic copy will be for website posting

  • Entries should be submitted via email as a JPG, PDF, or TIFF attachment to Photos@BHMHF.org

  • Send or drop off framed copy at the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, 16B South Street, Blue Hill, ME 04614

  • Entries will be on display at The Harbor House of Blue Hill until the day of the Festival

  • Fill out and submit the Photography Contest Entry Form along with the Photo entry
